Winter Weekends are a series of events that take place over weekends in December 2016 and January 2017, beginning on 2 December 2016 and ending on 9 January 2017. All events except for the Ports week will start at 12:00 GMT on Friday and finish at 12:00 GMT on Monday.

Events

Weekend 1: The Arc

2-5 December 2016

• Half price supplies.
• Chance not to deplete uncharted isles resources while harvesting.
• Additional 2 daily contracts which are free to reroll.
  • These additional contracts reset at noon instead of with the regular contracts at midnight.
• 2 orokami spawn instead of 1 on Uncharted Isles.

Weekend 2: Skilling

9-12 December 2016

• Double XP and reputation at Artisans' Workshop.
• Increased node spawns and double reward points at Runespan.
• Bonus chance of jewelled statuettes while wearing a ring of Wealth and doubled chance of sceptre of the gods and black ibis while at Pyramid Plunder.
• Enriched divination nodes spawn every 10 minutes.
• Fishing spots stay in place twice as long.
• Divination wisps last twice as long.
• Mining nodes and trees replenish twice as quickly.
• +50% base Big Chinchompa XP.
  • This affected both the experience from soporith moths and trading competence points for experience at Nyriki Tapio's Reward Shop.

Weekend 3: Bossing and Slayer

16-19 December 2016

• Increased chance of rare drops and enhanced ring of Wealth.
  • Rare drops referred to the drops from the rare drop table.
  • The chance to obtain the better drops from rare drop table was increased, and all the drops were doubled in amount.
  • Enhanced ring of Wealth meant that the ring caused rare drop table drops to appear about 4 times more commonly.
  • Rare drops from bosses were not affected.
• Charm drops give one more charm than normal.
• 50% increased base slayer experience.
• All Slayer assignments are treated as using a Slayer VIP ticket.
• 10% cheaper instance fees.
• Extra training points from Boss Training.
  • Each player counting for training points gave two points for a kill.
• Ability to loot from Mazcab Raids once per day.
  • The Mazcab Raid Lock was reset at the start of the weekend, and continued to reset daily at midnight after that.

Weekend 4: Clue scrolls

23-26 December 2016

• 1 free reroll for clue rewards per day.
• Gilly Willikers will give you a free clue scroll per day (starting at noon). Type dependent on total level:
  • 37-1,400 total levels: easy
  • 1,401-2,000 total levels: medium
  • 2,001-2,500 total levels: hard
  • 2,501+ total levels: elite
• Each clue scroll completed will reward a festive box containing festive food and has a chance of containing one of the following items:
  • Slayer VIP tickets
  • Silverhawk down
  • Tight springs
  • Charms
  • Experience lamps and stars
  • Easy clues reward a festive box (easy), medium and hard clues a festive box (hard), and elite clues a festive box (elite).
• Improved chance to get clue scrolls from drops and pickpocketing.

Weekend 5: Minigames

30 December 2016 - 2 January 2017

• +1 Castle Wars gold ticket per game.
• Extra 600 daily bonus points in Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza.
  • The extra 600 renown points were unlocked after the regular 600 were used up and the following messages were shown:
    • [ Brassica Prime ]: Rejoice mortal! On this wintery weekend, I, Brassica Prime , reward you with even more bonus points!
    • [ Brassica Prime ]: Bathe in my magnificence!
• Double points from Pest Control/Conquest.
• Double Bonus XP and gamble rewards in Barbarian Assault.
• Bosses killed in Dominion Tower count as two for the purposes of reward unlocks.
  • Rumble mode kills were not doubled.
  • 50% extra Dominion Factor was also received.
• Double points from Stealing Creation.
• Double zeal from Soul Wars.
• +1 medals from Fish Flingers.

Ports

30 December 2016 - 9 January 2017

• 25 voyages per day instead of 15.
• All player-owned ports voyages return 30% extra resources or trade goods.
• Ability to get The Barmaid's special voyage on Saturdays and Sundays as well as Thursdays.
  • If a previous A Barmaid's Tip voyage was still on its way (including in "returned" state), a new one wouldn't be offered.

Weekend 6: Dungeoneering

6-9 January 2017

• Double tokens from regular Dungeoneering and Sinkholes.
• Base Sinkholes lamp XP increased by 50%.
