The Start of May is the first spring holiday event in RuneScape. During the event, lilies of the valley blossom throughout the game. It first occurred in 2009, and it celebrates the beginning of May.

Activities[edit | edit source]

During Start of May, there are lilies of the valley blossoming throughout RuneScape.[1] The lilies can be picked to obtain the item variant, which can then be given to other players by using the item on them if they have Accept Aid for the miscellaneous category on, their backpack is not full, and they don't already have one. They can be wielded as a weapon. Smelling the lilies makes players perform an emote where the lilies are brought up to their nose and they lean backwards.

When a Start of May event ends, the lilies are removed from the game, however lilies that have been stored in a keepsake key can still be used as an override.
