Meg's cases

Meg's cases was removed after an update. The contents of this page no longer exist in RuneScape, and this article is kept for historical purposes.

Meg's cases was part of the Mega May event which took place throughout May 2016. Players assisted Megatha Christie with her new detective agency by investigating a set of cases. A single case was unlocked each day and could be tackled at any time thereafter until the end of the event. Each case completed rewarded a Small XP lamp, and further rewards could be earned after completing a certain number of cases.

While Meg was busy investigating, Seasinger Jemi took over Meg's adventuring weekly D&D.

The Robber from the Darkness case line was required for the quest Kindred Spirits until the cases were removed.

They were removed on 13 June 2016.

Dommik Reports Sally Missing	Missing Item	10 May	Dommik was extremely upset about losing Sally. He has requested urgent assistance to find her as soon as possible.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 4	Missing Item	11 May	Rommik's reported some of his fabric missing. Go and talk to him in his shop in Rimmington to investigate.
Robber from the Darkness - Part 3	Missing Item	12 May	Another person has been robbed. The Varrock general store has had some items stolen.
Tegid's Slippery Soap	Missing Item	13 May	Tegid has reported that his bar of soap has repeatedly gone missing and re-appeared. He wants us to at least make sure he's not going mad.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 5	Missing Item	14 May	Thurgo's steel nails have been stolen. Go and talk to Thurgo south of Port Sarim to investigate.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 6	Miscellaneous	15 May	Some sheep have gone missing near the Makeover Mage. Go and talk to the Makeover Mage, south-west of Falador, to investigate.
Dragon Disaster	Missing Pet	16 May	Roddeck has been keeping a pet dragon for a number of years, only now it has managed to find its way out of his basement. Find it as soon as possible!
Robber from the Darkness - Part 4	Missing Item	17 May	Another person has been robbed by the robber from the darkness. Aris reports theft of a crystal ball.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 7	Missing People	18 May	Anja and Hengel have gone missing from their house in Rimmington. Go and investigate the biggest house in the north-east corner of Rimmington.
Turoth Reports Theft of a Sock	Missing Item	19 May	A Turoth reports theft of a sock. Go and speak to the Turoth in Draynor Sewer to investigate.
Robber from the Darkness - Part 5	Missing Item	20 May	The robber is still at large. The Apothecary in Varrock had empty vials stolen.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 8	Missing People	21 May	A Trader Crewmember has gone missing in Karamja. Go and talk to the other Trader Crewmember on the north-east pier of Karamja.
Robber from the Darkness - Part 6	Missing People	22 May	A robber is now stealing people! Major Mary Rancour has gone missing.
Unknown	Missing People	23 May	There is no case info today. Go and check with Meg in Player Owned Ports why that is.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 9	Miscellaneous	24 May	Thurgo sends word that a suspicious looking ship is moving from its mooring near Crandor towards Karamja. Go and investigate the ship to the north-east of Karamja.
Hari's Missing Hatchet	Missing Item	25 May	After years of helping out adventurers without hatchets by lending his spare, someone has taken Hari's spare hatchet and hasn't returned it.
Will Dee Abandoned	Missing People	26 May	Will Dee's friends went to explore the Varrock Sewers and haven't returned. Will is getting worried.
The Eastern Mystery - Part 10	Miscellaneous	27 May	Trader Stan reports theft of a ship. Go and talk to Trader Stan in Port Sarim to investigate.
Charlie's Missing Sleeping Bag	Missing Item	28 May	Charlie the tramp in Varrock has lost his sleeping bag. He says he's had it for 13 years and doesn't know where to find another one.
Jewel Thief	Missing Item	29 May	There have been some thefts from the jewellery store in Falador. Go and speak to the shop keeper to find out more.
One Small Theft	Missing Item	30 May	Hild's supply of runes have been stolen, she has her suspicions and wishes to discuss them.
Louie Legs' Lost Plate...bodies?	Missing Item	31 May	Louie Legs has been considering diversifying his business by selling platebodies as well as platelegs. His first shipment has gone missing.
Brassica Crime	Miscellaneous	1 June	The Milk Seller at the farm south of Falador has reported crops going missing.

Rewards

• For each case completed: a small XP lamp
• 5 cases: Socky McGee, a sockpuppet that can be worn in the gloves slot. It may be talked to, and will occasionally replace the player's chathead in dialogues when worn.
• 10 cases: A player-owned ports resource pack; 2 Captain reroll tokens; 2 Voyage reroll tokens; and 2 Crew reroll tokens. All of them Free-to-play items, and bankable.
• 15 cases: Investigator Uniform
• 20 cases: Sockroth pet, a turoth wearing socks
• 25 cases: A large XP lamp and a bonus XP star (large)
• 30 cases: A huge XP lamp and a bonus XP star (huge)

  • A typo in Meg’s case - Robber from the Darkness - Part 4 has been fixed.
  • A spelling issue in the chat with the Makeover Mage during the Meg’s Cases has been fixed.
  • Talking to Bob after beginning the quests The Lost Tribe or Death to the Dorgeshuun will now correctly prompt the player about Meg's cases.
