Winter Weekends are a series of events that took place over weekends in December 2015 and January 2016. All events started at 12:00 GMT on Friday and finished at 12:00 GMT on Monday.

Weekend 1: Dungeoneering[edit | edit source]

4-7 December 2015

Weekend 2: Bossing and Slayer[edit | edit source]

11-14 December 2015

  • Improved drops from the following bosses: Kalphite King, and Giant Mole.
  • Increased chance of rare drops and enhanced ring of Wealth.
  • Charm drops give one more charm than normal.
  • 50% increased base slayer experience.
  • Double points from regular and group slayer assignments.
  • Over the period of the weekend, all assigned Slayer tasks are treated as using a Slayer VIP ticket.
  • 10% cheaper instance fees.
  • Extra training points from Boss Training.

Weekend 4: Skilling[edit | edit source]

25-28 December 2015

  • Double XP and reputation at Artisans' Workshop.
  • Increased node spawns and double reward points at Runespan.
  • Double chance for gold relic, sceptre and Black Ibis drops at Pyramid Plunder.
  • Enriched divination nodes spawn every 10 minutes.
  • Fishing spots stay in place twice as long.
  • Divination wisps last twice as long.
  • Mining nodes and trees replenish twice as quickly.
  • +50% base Big Chinchompa XP.

The benefits of this weekend are aimed at helping players catch up with the required skills for Invention, ahead of its release.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • During the second weekend, Barrows: Rise of the Six were initially included but were later removed from the newspost.
  • Supply runs were listed as a 50% increase but it was actually doubled.
  • If the player already completed a supply run before the weekend bonuses started, they can only complete an additional one.
