2010 Christmas event was a holiday event for Christmas in 2010.

O Little Town of Daemonheim

The first room of the dungeon.

The quest is based in Daemonheim and its "dungeons", where the player has to collect items for Thorvar Crittersmash while navigating through puzzles. At the end the player is awarded a Salty claws hat, a Heimland games souvenir, and the Seal of Approval emote.

Heimland Games

The field of Heimland Games.

The Heimland Games were a set of activities that players could take part in with their friends in the Land of Snow. Sections include ice skating, snowman building, snowball fights, and even seal sliding.

Trivia

• When the event was released, if a player attempted to summon an ice imp inside the Land of Snow, the message "You cannot summon your ice imp outside of the Land of Snow." was received. This was fixed, afterwards saying "You attempt to summon your imp, but he doesn't respond. Imps get Christmas holiday, too!"
• After the event, Thorvar Crittersmash (who is really Santa in Fremennik disguise) told you not to reveal that he was really Santa, and he threatened to bring you nothing but cabbage for Christmas every year after if you did. This was both a direct reference to the well-known threat to give kids coal for Christmas, and a nod at Jagex's continual cabbage jokes.
• After the event, Olaf the Bard and Chieftain Brundt were present at the games. Talking to them revealed that a great wolf had appeared in the hills of Rellekka, and was preying on the young, elderly, and infirm Fremennik. This was foreshadowing the introduction of Hati.
• Throughout the event, The Smuggler threw snowballs at you and said "Merry Christmas" while you were in the starting room of a Daemonheim dungeon.
• The Dungeoneering hood on Skillcape stand next to Thok was replaced with a Santa hat.
• The Heimland Games are a reference to the Highland Games, held during the spring and summer in Scotland.
• In regular dungeons, sometimes the forgotten warriors would wear Santa hats and/or scarves.
• You could do the event in PvP worlds (bounty worlds not included). When you did this, you could attack other players in the event. When a player attacked another player, no animations were used, but the hitsplats were still visible.
• The examine on the Christmas tree at the end was 'O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree', referring to an English translation of the title of an old 1550 German carol O Tannenbaum.
• After completing the quest and going to the Heimland Games you were able to talk to the rewards trader. He would not remember Christmas and if you reminded him by saying "It is a time to give and receive presents" he would attempt to give you one of his own gifts that someone else had given him. However, your character would politely decline and push the gift back to him.
