Betty is the owner of Betty's Magic Emporium in Port Sarim. She is one of the only two characters selling eyes of newt in free-to-play worlds, the other being Jatix. Lottie, her assistant, stays under her shop.

Betty plays a role in The Hand in the Sand quest helping in creation of pink dye. She is also involved in While Guthix Sleeps, the 2008 Halloween event, the 2009 Christmas event, and plays an important role in the Swept Away quest.

According to Maggie, Betty "is the perfect witch to take care of the wand-waving part of the package."

Betty may occasionally appear at Manor Farm, asking for help with a medium Farming request.

After the completion of The Hand in the Sand quest, players can buy more pink dye from Betty for 20 coins each. The dye does not appear in her usual store, and can only be bought through dialogue with Betty.
