Daemonicas Abhoris
Daemonicas Abhoris is an ancient magic spell the origins and nature of which remain almost wholly unknown. The spell essentially allows the user to summon demons against their will and bind them into physical forms of pure agony - the demon's flesh continually regrows, only for it to be burned once fully grown[1], although they remain unable to refuse the user's commands.[2]
Daemonicas Abhoris is amongst the oldest magics. It is noted as one of, if not actually, the most fundamentally difficult spell to cast.[1] In every known and recorded attempt to cast it, the spell either failed completely or backfired horrifically on the caster. Its difficulty is such that until the Year 169 of the Fifth Age, the spell was believed to have never been successfully cast.[1] However, during the events of While Guthix Sleeps the Mahjarrat Lucien successfully casts it, summoning two Tormented Demons and desecrating the Ancient Guthix Temple beneath Lumbridge.
In the lore relating to While Guthix Sleeps, Lucien is recorded as successfully casting the spell and revelling in his accomplishment.[3] Though Lucien views this achievement as quite significant, he considers the demons to be lowly beings.[4]
