Wild broavs are a hunter creature that may be caught in the Feldip Hunter area after starting the While Guthix Sleeps quest. They are caught at the pitfall trap west of the Hunting expert's house. Like all pitfall traps, it must be constructed with a set of logs, which can be obtained from a nearby tree. The trap must then be baited with mort myre fungus to cause a Wild broav to spawn.

Once the trap successfully catches a broav, it may be looted to obtain an unconscious broav. This may then be given to the Hunting expert to obtain a broav pet. If a player already has an unconscious broav or broav pet, then the caught broav will be automatically released when the trap is looted.
