Starting out[edit | edit source]

Arriving and speaking with Partygoer[edit | edit source]

  • Partygoer: Thank goodness you've come! This is terrible!
  • Player: Woah, calm down, take deep breaths.
  • Partygoer: But all the food's been stolen! Santa's been kidnapped! The Queen of Snow's feast is ruined!
  • Select an Option:
    • Who's done this?
      • Player: Who's done this?
      • Partygoer: Ebenezer Scourge! From what I gather, he lives alone in an old house nearby. He's a selfish, Christmas-hating old man.
      • Select an Option:
        • I had better investigate.
          • Player: I had better investigate.
          • Partygoer: I think the snow imps are investigating as well. Perhaps you should speak with one of them.
          • Player: Thanks.
          • (Dialogue ends.)
        • I'm kind of busy at the moment.
          • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • So, what am I meant to do about it?
      • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Sounds bad, but I've got to go.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)

Talking to the Queen of Snow[edit | edit source]

  • Queen of Snow: Oh, hello there, noble traveller. I am the Queen of Snow, monarch of the Land of Snow.
  • Choose an Option:
    • Talk about the feast.
      • Player: What's going on here?
      • Queen of Snow: My imps and I have been preparing a Christmas feast for the people of Gielinor, to celebrate the Yuletide period. Unfortunately, something quite terrible has happened... Our neighbor, Ebenezer Scourge, stole all the food and kidnapped dear Nick. I am terribly worried for poor Nick - Scourge is not a nice person, and a terribly strong wizard.
      • Choose an Option:
        • Perhaps I could help?
          • Player: Perhaps I could help?
          • Queen of Snow: Ah, you sound very much like my imps. They're very keen to intervene, I just can't see how they could possibly beat Scourge.
          • (Shows the previous options.)
        • Couldn't you help?
          • Player: Couldn't you help?
          • Queen of Snow: Things aren't that simple... I want to, but there are... complications. Besides, Scourge is a very powerful wizard. I doubt I could dissuade him with my kind of magic. Mine is a subtle magic, alas, not battle magic.
          • Player: But couldn't you at least try?
          • Queen of Snow: If I were to threaten Scourge, Guthix only knows what he may do. For the safety of my guests and Nick, it is best that I do nothing. Perhaps you could speak with one of my imps... Scourage wouldn't see the two of you as a threat, but together you might be able to best him.
          • Player: I might just do that.
          • (Dialogue ends.)
        • Actually, I have to go.
          • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Ask about the Land of Snow.
      • Player: What is this place?
      • Queen of Snow: This is the Land of Snow. It was created by Guthix as part of his balancing of the world. The coldness of this place counteracts the heat from the great deserts.
      • (Shows the previous options.)
    • Leave.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)

  • If you met Snow Imp before

  • Select an Option
    • Who's Scourge?
      • Player: Who's Scourge?
      • Snow Imp:Scourger is the foulest, most greedy and des-pick-able ooman about. Every time he leaves that ol' house of 'is he does something nasty.
      • Player: And did you say he overpowered Santa?
      • Snow Imp: Scourges is a dark wizard. When Nick tried to stop 'im, Scourges bound him in chains with a snap 'o his digits.
      • (Continues below.)
    • Something must be done about this!
      • Player: Something must be done about this!

        • (Continues below.)
      • First time meeting Snow Imp
        • Snow Imp: You's right! Something must be done! P'rhaps...
        • Player: What?
        • Snow Imp: P'rhaps we's join forces and take on Scourges together?
        • (Continues below.)
      • Select an Option
        • Count me in!
          • Player: Count me in! I suppose we'd better think up a cunning plan.
          • Snow Imp: Oh, don't worry 'bout that. I's the brains of this outfit.
          • Player: You're the brains? What am I, then?
          • Snow Imp: Well, you ain't the brains, 'n you certainly awn't the looks. You ain't really the brawn neither - look at them skinny arms. I know! You can be the height.
          • Player: Well, 'brains', what's the plan?
          • Snow Imp: We need to go and talk to Scourges. 'Is house is to the east. Let's go!
          • (Dialogue ends.)
        • Sorry, I don't have time right now.
          • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Sorry, I've got to go, Snow Imp.

Heading over to Ebenezer Scourge's house[edit | edit source]

Encountering Santa in a cage[edit | edit source]

  • Santa: Well, Player, I've got myself into a bit of a jam here.
  • Snow Imp: That Scourge fella's gonna pay for locking you up, Nick!
  • Player: Santa, is there anything I can do to help?
  • A voice comes echoing through the mansion...
  • Ebenezer Scourge: Don't speak to him or I'll blast you! I'll blast you and turn your mother into a frog!
  • Santa: You should leave this place, it's too dangerous.
  • (Dialogue ends.)

Talking to Ebenzer Scourge[edit | edit source]

  • Ebenezer Scourge: Trespassers! On my property! Do you not know who I am?
  • Snow Imp: You is a bitter, crankerous old...
  • Player: You're Ebenezer Scourge?
  • Ebenezer Scourge: I am. Not that it's any of your business. Now, why are you trespassing, [boy/girl]? Speak quickly.
  • Snow Imp: ...you is mean and foul and greedy...
  • Choose an option:
    • We're here to ask you to release Santa.
      • Player: We're here to ask you to release Santa and return the food you stole from our feast.
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Father Christmas is the epitome of human weakness. I will not be having him, or any joy and merriment for that matter, in my back yard.
      • Snow Imp: ...you is nasty and crew-ool...
      • Player: But it's Christmas!
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Bah, humbug!
      • Player: Please, won't you reconsider?
      • Snow Imp: ... and your breath stinks!
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Silence, both of you! This conversation is over! I plan to sleep through the rest of this vile festive period. If you disturb my slumber you shall feel my wrath - and you can tell that to the idle merry-makers slacking around in the Land of Snow. Oh, and be warned: if you try and help that oaf in the cafe you'll be joining him!
      • Ebenezer Scourge disappears
      • (Continues below.)
    • Why did you ruin the Queen of Snow's feast?
      • Player: Why did you ruin the Queen of Snow's feast?
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Bah, I don't need a reason.
      • Snow Imp: ...you is stupid and horrid...
      • Player: But you don't just ruin someone else's fun for no good reason!
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Actually, I do.
      • (Shows the previous options.)
    • Actually, I have to go.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)

After talking to Ebenzer Scourge[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Well, that didn't go too well.
  • Snow Imp: No.
  • Player: Well, what's the plan now, 'brains'?
  • Snow Imp appears to be thinking...
  • Snow Imp: Ghosts!
  • Player: Excuse me?
  • Snow Imp:The only way to scares old crankerous people is with ghosts, everyone knows that!
  • Player: Really?
  • Snow Imp: Of course. Remember, I's the brain. Trust me, this is gonna work!
  • Player: But where can we get a ghost from?
  • Snow Imp:You'll need to dress up as one, of course! We's gonna need to make you a costume. Search around this house - you'll need some sheets, something clanky, oh, and a needle and thread!
  • Player: Well, if you think that would work...
  • (Dialogue ends.)

Ghost of Christmas past[edit | edit source]

  • Snow Imp: Put it on, put it on!
  • (Dialogue ends.)

After equipping the Christmas ghost items[edit | edit source]

  • Snow Imp: Wow, that looks proper scary, mate!
  • Player: I can barely breathe.
  • Snow Imp: Sure you can. Nows, Player, what we really need to do is find out something about Scourge's past.
  • Player: Like what?
  • Snow Imp: Some mistake he made. Something he did that he regrets. We can use it to make 'im feel bad about the past. We should go to the feast. Someone there will know him.
  • Player: Really? This whole plan sounds kinda far-fetch-
  • Snow Imp:Let's go!
  • (Dialogue ends.)

Trying to confront Scourge before talking to Queen of Snow[edit | edit source]

  • Snow Imp: Scourge is up there, bud. We can't go up unprepared or he'll zap us.
  • (Dialogue ends.)

Meeting the Queen of Snow[edit | edit source]

  • Queen of Snow: Why are you wearing those strange robes?
  • Player: Never fear, it's only I, Player!
  • Queen of Snow: Oh, hello there, noble traveller. I am the Queen of Snow, monarch of the Land of Snow.
  • Choose an option:
    • Talk about Scourge.
      • Player: Hello, Your Majesty. I'm trying to find some information on Scourge's past. When did he first come to the Land of Snow?
      • Queen of Snow: Hmm... He moved to the Land of Snow just under a year ago.
      • Player: And that was the first time you met?
      • Queen of Snow: Well, I have met him before... long ago... Oh, I suppose I should tell you. We were in love.
      • Player: What?
      • Queen of Snow: It was a long time ago, long before I became the Queen of Snow, before I'd even met Nick. We were both young. He came to the Land of Snow quite by accident, having tried a teleportation spell that went wrong. We met and quickly became great friends. He had a keen sense of adventure, and when we explored the Land of Snow together it was as if I was exploring it for the first time. Then, one crisp morning, he was gone. I searched for him for hours, but eventually had to accept that he had returned to Gielinor. I was devastated.
      • Player: When did you see him again?
      • Queen of Snow: He returned on Christmas Eve a few years later. He said that he loved me and had only left by accident. I knew otherwise, though. Rumours from Gielinor had reached my ears. He left me to pursue a life of evil. He preyed on the weak - exploiting them to gain power and money. He'd betrayed my heart. Besides, in the time that had elapsed, I had met Nick and become queen. I tried to explain that we couldn't be together. He wouldn't listen. He grew angry and vowed revenge. Right then I saw him for the greedy, cruel, little man he was.
      • Player: What did he do?
      • Queen of Snow: Nothing. Well, nothing at the time. I didn't see him again until he moved to the Land of Snow. Kidnapping Nick and ruining this Christmas has been his revenge.
      • Player: Thank you for telling me this.
      • Snow Imp: Thanks, My Majesty. Player, we's use this against Scourge. A story of such sadness like this'll work for sure!
      • Player: So what do we do now?
      • Snow Imp: We go back to Scourge's house, climb up the stairs and show Scourge the error of his ways!
      • (Dialogue ends.)
    • Ask about the Land of Snow.
    • Leave
      • (Transcript missing. edit)

Talking to Jack Frost[edit | edit source]

  • Wearing Christmas ghost outfit
    • Jack Frost: I'm not talking to you while you're in those bedsheets.
    • (Dialogue ends.)
  • Not wearing Christmas ghost outfit
    • Player: Hello, Jack.
    • Jack Frost: Oh, hello.
    • Player: Do you know much about Scourge?
    • Jack Frost: No.
    • Player: But he's your neighbour?
    • Jack Frost: So?
    • (Dialogue ends.)

Talking to Snow Imp[edit | edit source]

  • Player: Hey, Snow Imp.
  • Snow Imp: Wassup?
  • Choose an Option:
    • What should we be doing?
      • Player: What should we be doing?
      • Snow Imp: Doncha pay attention? We's gonna scare Scourge witless!
      • Dialogue interrupted
    • Can you remind me of the Queen of Snow's relationship with Santa?
      • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Can you leave me for a bit?
      • (Transcript missing. edit)
    • Actually, never mind.
      • (Transcript missing. edit)

Talking to Santa with Christmas ghost outfit[edit | edit source]

  • Santa: Argh, a ghos- Oh, it's only you, Player. Well, Player, I've got myself into a bit of a jam here.
  • Snow Imp: That Scourge fella's gonna pay for locking you up, Nick!
  • Player: Santa, is there anything I can do to help?
  • Santa: You should leave this place, it's too dangerous.

Trying to climb the stairs to Scourge with weapons equipped[edit | edit source]

  • Snow Imp: Don't go up there armed! Scourge'll zap us if he thinks yous gonna attack 'im.
  • Both hands should be empty before climbing these stairs.

Trying to climb the stairs to Scourge with a cape on[edit | edit source]

  • Snow Imp: You won't look much like a Ghost if ya wearing a cape, matey.
  • The cape detracts from your disguise. You should take it off before climbing these stairs.

Returning to Scourge's house[edit | edit source]

  • Ebenezer wakes up from his 4-poster bed, Player and Snow Imp enter the room
  • Ebenezer Scourge: How dare you wake me? What are you doing in those preposterous sheets?
  • Choose an option:
    • I'm a ghost!
      • Player: I'm a ghost!
      • Snow Imp: Psst, say you's the 'Ghost of Christmas Past'. It's spookier.
      • Player: I am the Ghost of Christmas Past!
      • Ebenezer Scourge: You're not a ghost, I can see where you've sewn that old bedsheet together.
      • Player: Bedsheets? These are no bedsheets. Those stitches you see represent all the people I've, er... Stitched up! My punishment for my sins is that I must look like I've been sewn together, poorly, for the rest of eternity.
      • Ebenezer Scourge: Ha! A likely story. Then what about those chains; what do they represent?
      • Choose an option:
        • My heavy guilt.
          • Player: These chains represent my heavy guilt.
          • Ebenezer Scourge: Pfft, I can't be bothered with self-analysing ghosts. Begone!
          • Player: Let me finish! I was going to say: 'These chains represent my heavy guilt... is what I would say if I were a self-analysing ghost'. But I'm not. These chains represent...
          • (Shows the previous options.)
        • The weight of my sins.
          • Player: These chains represent the weight of my sins.
          • Ebenezer Scourge: Ah, so you led an evil life?
          • Player: One of the worst. That's why I've come to warn you.
          • Ebenezer Scourge: Warn me of what?
          • Player: Warn you that if you don't change your ways you will be doomed to live like me for the rest of eternity!
          • Ebenezer Scourge: How dare you! I've done nothing wrong, nothing I tell you!
          • Choose an option:
            • What about ruining the Christmas feast?
              • Player: What about ruining the Christmas feast?
              • Ebenezer Scourge: I think I'll hardly be doomed to spend eternity in chains because I crashed that sappy little party.
              • (Shows the previous options.)
            • What about betraying the Queen of Snow?
              • Player: What about betraying the Queen of Snow?
              • Ebenezer Scourge: How do you know about that?
              • Player: I am a ghost, Scourge, I see all your mistakes. Your murky past is laid bare before me.
              • Ebenezer Scourge: Well... I...
              • Player: You loved her, Scourge, and you left her. Through selfishness you lost what you wanted most.
              • Snow Imp: Now we's getting somewhere.
              • Player: You regret that mistake, don't you, Scourge?
              • Ebenezer Scourge: Regret? That happened over fifty years ago. I stopped caring for her a long time ago.
              • Player: Er, you did?
              • Ebenezer Scourge: Indeed. Now let me show you what happens to those who meddle in my affairs.
              • Ebenezer casts a spell
              • Snow Imp: He didn't do nuthin'.
              • Ebenezer Scourge: 'Nuthin"? Your friends at the feast won't think it's 'nuthin".
              • Snow Imp: I's best check on 'em.
              • Snow Imp disappears, screen fades black to the feast
              • Snow Imp: What's the big deal? They all look fine. A bit bored, mebbe.
              • Guests become trapped in a magical fire
              • Snow Imp: Oh, man!
              • Snow Imp disappears, screen fades black back to Scourge's house
              • Snow Imp: He's trapped the Queen of Snow's mates in magical Christmas-y fires!
              • Player: We have to go and help.
              • Ebenezer Scourge: And let that teach you busybody, interfering, Christmas-loving fools to stay out of my business!
              • Player and Snow Imp leave
              • (Dialogue ends.)
            • What about all that dark magic?
              • Player: What about all that dark magic?
              • Ebenezer Scourge: Ha! My studies into dark magic have made me powerful. I regret nothing!
              • (Shows the previous options.)
    • Nothing, they're just chains.
      • Player: Nothing, they're just chains.
      • Snow Imp: That's feeble. We's trying to scare him, mate. Think something up!
      • Player: Oh, in that case, they represent...
      • (Shows the previous options.)
  • I'm a human in bedsheets!
    • Player: I'm a human in bedsheets!
    • Snow Imp: Oh noes!
    • Ebenezer Scourge: What? Get out at once!
    • Player: Ha! That was a joke - a funny, funny joke- Of course I'm not a human in bedsheets. Er...
    • (Shows the previous options.)
  • I'm a giant floating napkin!
    • Player: I'm a giant floating napkin!
    • Snow Imp: What?
    • Ebenezer Scourge: What?
    • Player: Actually, on second thoughts...
    • (Shows the previous options.)

  • Snow Imp: We's been wasting our time digging up Scourge's past. Past is way too long ago. Everyone knows misers have rubbish memory! This weeping boy, he's from presents.
  • Player: Bu-
  • Snow Imp: If there is anyone who can melt the frozen heartstrings of the crankerous ol' miser, it's this angelic boy. We can use this boy to show Scourge how he's hurting people in the presents!
  • Tiny Thom: Presents? I want presents!
  • Player: He seems a bit spoilt to me. Maybe we should find som-
  • Snow Imp: Nah, he's perfect, mate! Let's pay Scourge a visit.

  • Ebenezer wakes up from his 4-poster bed, Player and Snow Imp enter the room
  • Ebenezer Scourge: Well, well, well... You dare return, 'ghost', even after I punished your friends?
  • Player: Greetings, Scourge. Psst, maybe we should leave, Snow Imp.
  • Snow Imp: No way, dude! Say you is the 'Ghost of Christmas Present' - that'll scare 'im.

          • Player: He's not ruined your Christmas?
