Farming requests

Farming requests are given by NPCs at the Manor Farm (outside near the animal buyers). Requests require the player to give the NPCs the requested seeds, produce, and animals. Players may have similar requests, but not the exact same, e.g. same seed but different amounts. To access the requests, one needs to click on the 'Farming Requests' button on the little interface (shown on the right) while at Manor Farm. Players can talk with the request NPCs at Manor Farm to see what their request is as well as handing the items in after gathering them.

  • Easy requests are daily and have a 1/5 chance to give a Brassica primer. They award 2,750 reputation. Easy requests require seeds and a generic animal.
  • Medium requests are every 3 days and give one Brassica primer guaranteed. They award 5,500 reputation. Medium requests require seeds, a specific animal, and some produce.
  • Hard requests are weekly and give 3 Brassica primers guaranteed. They award 13,750 reputation. Hard requests require seeds, a specific animal with one of the specific traits, and some produce.

Both checked and unchecked animals can be turned in for requests (other than unchecked chicken eggs, which must be checked before turn in) but the unchecked animal should not be noted. Completing a request rewards the player with reputation and an item corresponding to the NPC (see the table below) as well as Brassica primers, which grants the player a 10% experience boost when checking the health of, and harvesting from, Farming patches for 15 minutes upon consuming the potion. Completing a request does not grant experience.

Possible requests[edit | edit source]

Strategy[edit | edit source]

The Farming requests are the same for all players. This makes the items with limited sources quite expensive on the day that they are requested. It would be a good idea to buy them in advance from the Grand Exchange and keep a few of these hard buying items in the bank. Of course, it depends on if you are ready to sacrifice bank space for this purpose to avoid paying extra money.

For low level animals, it is a good idea to keep the easiest kind of "unchecked" ones gained from Adam Antite as they stack in the bank and so you save bank space. For high level animals, there is usually enough time to breed the requested specific type within the allowed time if you have the required parents.

It is a good idea to do runs to seed shops for the seeds that are required in bulk. The seed shops are Draynor Seed Market, Coeden's Seed Store and Head Farmer Jones's Farming Shop.

Bird's nests from Managing Miscellania are a good source for seeds. Modified farmer's hat gives 2 to 4 bird's nests per day too.

It seems that there is a limited pool of possible items, you can use the tables below to determine what you need to obtain in advance.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • patch 6 January 2020 (Update):
    • Farming Requests requiring animals with the "big boned" trait will now correctly accept those animals.
    • Animals whose shiny variants are a subspecies in their own right (Araxyte spider & royal dragon) could not be handed in for farming requests. Now night spiders and black dragons are requested in their place.
  • hotfix 18 December 2019:
    • Players are no longer asked for Araxyte spiders or Royal dragons when fulfilling a farming request, instead they are now asked for night spiders or black dragons.[1]
  • patch 9 December 2019 (Update):
    • The Castle Wars tickets obtained from farming requests are now added directly to your currency pouch. An option to add the previously defective castle wars tickets to your currency pouch has been added.
  • update 25 November 2019 (Update):.
    • The farming guild, Spirit tree patch, Money tree patch and Bloodwood tree patch were added
