A Pirate is an non-player character that can be found in the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon (level 32), at Brimhaven (level 26 and 29), in the Port Sarim jail (level 32), in the Pirates' Hideout in the Wilderness north-west of the Mage Arena, and on Pirates' Cove (level 38).

Level 26 pirates can also be found during Cabin Fever.

The pirates in Brimhaven and Pirate's Cove have a talk option and respond with unintelligible pirate slang when the player speaks to them without a Book o' piracy or Rocking Out completed. A large amount of NPC pirate models have been updated on 9 November 2009.

From 18 September 2014 to 25 September 2014, during the Talk like a Pirate promotion from Treasure Hunter, pirates could drop doubloons when killed.
