Up to five bananas can be stored in a basket to form a basket of bananas (5), and players can store bananas within multiple baskets. Five baskets of bananas (5) are required for a gardener to look after curry trees.
Players can make money from bananas on Musa Point by talking to Luthas and then filling a crate with 10 bananas, obtaining 30 coins. However, as 10 bananas are worth 314 coins on the Grand Exchange, it is much better to sell them there.
Bananas are needed to bait baby monkeys, which requires level 27 Hunter and level 95 Summoning. Bananas are also necessary to feed the pet monkey when it becomes an adult.
A single banana is required to cast the standard spellbook Ape Atoll Teleport with 64 Magic in addition to its cost in runes.
During Monkey Madness, when the player has the monkey rescued from the Ardougne Zoo, the player can use bananas on the monkey to "feed" him.
Additionally, you can use the bananas for Clue's in the Monkey Drool, which is an achievement that requires the player to receive the sealed clue scroll (medium) from the monkey in the backpack during or after the Monkey Madness quest, after feeding it a number of bananas. The drop rate is 1 in 256[1]. When this happens, a message appears in the player's chatbox saying "The monkey chews on the banana and spits out a clue!".
If used on one of the monkeys next to the magic carpet stations while wearing a monkeyspeak amulet, the monkey will take the banana, insult you and ask for more bananas.
