FAQ • doc |
A banana is a fruit that can be harvested from a banana tree grown from a banana tree seed in a fruit tree patch, requiring level 33 Farming. Up to six bananas can be harvested from a banana tree at a time. It can also be picked from banana trees found at Musa Point and on Ape Atoll, and is obtainable through various other means as well.
Bananas can be stored in a basket. Up to five bananas can be stored in each basket, and players can store bananas within multiple baskets.
Bananas are required for crafting banana pizzas. They can also be eaten raw and heal up to 200 Life points each.
Farming[edit | edit source]
Bananas can be harvested from banana trees grown within a fruit tree patch. A fully grown banana tree can grow up to six bananas at a time. Each banana, when picked, gives 10.5 Farming experience. Once all six bananas have been picked, the tree will slowly produce more bananas until six more are available again. However, the bananas may be picked individually provided that at least one appears on the tree.

Other uses[edit | edit source]
Players can make money from bananas on Musa Point by talking to Luthas and then filling a crate with 10 bananas, obtaining 30 coins. However, as 10 bananas are worth 2,740 coins on the Grand Exchange, it is much better to sell them there. In Pirate's Treasure, filling a crate with bananas for Luthas is necessary so that the player can smuggle a bottle of Karamjan rum off Karamja to Port Sarim.
Members use bananas in Summoning. Bananas are required to make fruit bat pouches. Bananas are needed to bait baby pet monkeys, which requires level 27 Hunter and level 95 Summoning. Bananas are also necessary to feed the pet monkey when it becomes an adult.
The Ape Atoll Teleport spell requires a banana in addition to its cost in runes.
A whole banana can be added to Karamjan rum, but this is a waste of both items as the item has no use.
During Monkey Madness, when the player has the monkey rescued from the Ardougne Zoo, the player can use bananas on the monkey to "feed" him.
Additionally, you can use the bananas for Clue's in the Monkey Drool[1] , which is achievement that requires the player to receive the medium clue scroll from the monkey in the player's inventory during or after the Monkey Madness quest, after feeding it a number of bananas. The drop rate is 1 in 256.
If used on one of the monkeys next to the magic carpet stations while wearing a monkeyspeak amulet the monkey will take the banana, insult you and ask for more bananas.
Bananas can be used for creating fruity mush when feeding animals in player-owned farm.
