Baby monkeys are Hunter creatures that may be caught with level 27 Hunter and level 95 Summoning. They cannot be caught with protean traps and can only be caught using banana-baited box traps. They come in ten different colours and may be found in different locations across Karamja. Catching a baby monkey fulfils the Boxing Clever task.

Once players have caught a monkey, they may loot the trap to receive a monkey pet. If a player already has a monkey, the trap will always fail to work, unless the monkey is in the menagerie.
