A sweetcorn is a vegetable harvested from a sweetcorn plant grown from a sweetcorn seed in an allotment patch, requiring level 20 Farming. A minimum of three sweetcorns are harvested at a time when farmed in an allotment.
Cooked sweetcorn can be used to make Tuna and corn which are required for crafting tuna potatoes and juju gumbo.
Farmers will watch over a planted sweetcorn allotment for 10 jute fibres.
Farmers will watch over a planted apple tree in exchange for 9 sweetcorns.
Sweetcorns can be harvested from sweetcorn plants grown within an allotment patch. A fully grown sweetcorn plant will yield a minimum of three sweetcorns at harvest. Each sweetcorn, when picked, gives 17 Farming experience.
Harvest yields for sweetcorn plants are determined by a "harvest lives" system. Each sweetcorn plant begins with 3 lives. Additional lives are added with the use of compost (+1 life), supercompost (+2 lives) and ultracompost (+3 lives). Every harvest action will roll a chance out of 255 on the specific patch's "Chance to Save", taking one of the harvest lives from the patch if it does not hit; the patch will be cleared when it runs out of lives. The "Chance to Save" is dependent on the player's Farming level.
