Potato cactus detail.png

A potato cactus is a cactus fruit harvested from a potato cactus planted in a cactus patch, requiring level 86 Farming. Three potato cacti can be harvested from a cactus patch at a time. Farmers will watch over a planted potato cactus for 10 watermelons (8 with master farmer set bonus).

Potato cacti are required for making super magic potions and spirit kalphite pouches. Farmers will watch over a planted dragonfruit seed in exchange for eight potato cacti. A potato cactus is one of the items needed to hand in to Thorgel to obtain a death talisman.

Farming[edit | edit source]

Potato cacti can be harvested from potato cacti grown within a cactus patch. A fully grown potato cactus can grow up to three potato cacti at a time. Each potato cactus, when picked, gives 92 Farming experience. Once all three potato cacti have been picked, the cactus will slowly produce more potato cacti. However, the potato cacti may be picked individually provided that at least one appears on the bush.

The yield of potato cacti increases from 3 to 6 with the completion of the hard Desert achievements
