Set bonus

[edit | edit source]
A player activating Ahrim's set effect.

Ahrim the Blighted's equipment has a set bonus called Ahrim's Blight:

  • (4) Successful magic attacks have a chance of lowering the enemy's Strength by five levels repeatedly.

Contrary to popular belief, it does not lower the player's Strength by 10%. The chance is estimated to be 25%. The staff is a part of the set but the wand and book are not.

When wearing an amulet of the forsaken and a non-golden version of the set, the set additionally applies a debuff to the opponent which reduces melee damage by 10% upon activation.

Repair cost

[edit | edit source]

Barrows equipment degrades as it is used. Equipment received from Barrows is fully repaired and can be used for 100,000 charges of combat until it degrades completely and requires repair before it can be used again; it does not suffer in performance as it degrades from fully repaired to fully degraded. The remaining charges of Barrows equipment can be checked by right-clicking it and selecting "check charges". Additionally, Barrows equipment may only be traded if fully repaired or fully degraded. Items lose 20% charge if reclaimed from a gravestone after dying.

There are two ways to repair Barrows armour. Players can talk to any of the characters listed below and they will repair the items for a price, or repair the pieces themselves using an armour stand in any player-owned house for a reduced cost based on their Smithing level. The equipment can be repaired at any stage, and the cost will be adjusted according to how much it has degraded. The repair costs below are as if the equipment has fully degraded.

The following characters can repair the armour:

Costs to repair
Barrows equipment
Character Player-owned house armour stand
Level 1 Smithing Level 99 Smithing
Helm 138,000 136,620 69,000

Two-handed weapon 300,000 297,000 150,000
Total 900,000 891,000 450,000

Furthermore, main-hand Barrows weapons cost 200,000 coins to fully repair at a character mentioned above, which can be reduced down to 100,000 coins at 99 Smithing. Off-hand Barrows weapons cost 100,000 coins, reducible down to 50,000 coins at 99 Smithing, respectively.
