The augmented Guthan's platebody is a level 70 Melee torso slot item created by using an augmentor on a Guthan's platebody.

Armour gizmos charged with perks can be used to enhance the armour's abilities. As a torso slot item, the augmented Guthan's platebody can hold two gizmos, allowing up to four perks (two on each).

Using this armour in combat can gain experience to increase its level. Levelling the armour will have no effect on its ability in combat, but it will improve the experience and materials gained for disassembling it.

This item uses charges stored in the universal charge pack. When the charge pack runs out of charges, the item loses stats and gizmo effects and can no longer gain any equipment experience. Full functionality will resume when the pack is recharged with divine charges.

Set bonus

edit
The Guthans armour effect, "Infestation."

Guthan the Infested's equipment has a set bonus called Guthan's Infestation:

  • While wearing the full equipment set, attacks have a 25% chance of healing the player's life points equal to the damage dealt.

A player using the Ancient Curses may heal with damage deflected by Deflection curses. The set bonus can activate on an attack dealing 0 damage; however, no life points will be healed.

High hitting abilities such as a Meteor Strike or Overpower can heal a high number of life points in a single strike. When the set effect is coupled with the Berserk ability, players can heal significantly faster than they could by using food. When using multi-target attacks, each target hit has an equal chance of activating the set effect.

Wearing an amulet of the forsaken increases the amount healed upon activation by 10%.
