Corrupted defender detail.png

The corrupted defender is the third-most powerful defender available, and requires level 70 Attack and 70 Defence to equip. It can be created by combining a corruption sigil with a new or fully-repaired Guthan's warspear, Dharok's greataxe, Torag's hammer, or Verac's flail. However, Akrisae's war mace and Linza's hammer cannot be used. Like all defenders, it allows the use of both dual-wielding and shield abilities, and provides a 3% accuracy boost. It also has a 1/15 chance to deflect a hit, reducing it by 50%-100% damage and providing +20% accuracy for the next attack.
All defenders have style and defence bonuses equal to that of half their tier.

The defender will degrade to a broken state after 100,000 charges of combat. It can be fixed by Repair NPCs, or at an armour stand in a player-owned house. A full repair, without discounts, costs 100,000 coins. Upon death in the wilderness, 25,000 coins will appear on the ground.

Combat stats[edit | edit source]

Creation cost[edit | edit source]

The creation cost of the Corrupted defender varies based on the weapon used to create it.

Weapon G.E. Price

Dharok's greataxe.png: RS3 Inventory image of Dharok's greataxe Dharok's greataxe 863,097

Repair cost[edit | edit source]

The Corrupted defender at most, costs 100,000 coins to repair completely. The repair cost is precisely calculated by the degradation percentage (i.e. with 75% charge remaining, a full repair would only cost 25,000 coins). It may be repaired through a variety of methods.

With an NPC[edit source]

These less preferred methods cost more as they do not consider one's Smithing level for a repair discount.

Alternate methods[edit source]

These preferred methods provide a repair cost discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
