Akrisae the Doomed's equipment is a degradable Barrows weapon and armour set of the Hybrid class. Equipping the full set requires completion of Ritual of the Mahjarrat, as well as 70 Magic, 70 Prayer, 70 Attack and 70 Defence. Pieces can be obtained by killing Akrisae the Doomed in the Barrows after completing the quest.
The equipment has no weaknesses and can be used with any combat style. The set contains Akrisae's war mace, Akrisae's hood, Akrisae's robe top, and Akrisae's robe skirt. The set effect drains enemies' prayer points.
Like other Barrows armours, the pieces all degrade over time until it reaches 0%, which gives no stat bonuses. While the pieces are tradeable when fully repaired or fully broken (as with other barrows equipment), the quest must be completed to equip any of the equipment. A package containing the full item set can be exchanged for the individual pieces of equipment, or vice versa, at the Grand Exchange.
A player activating Akrisae's set, Doom.
Doom: Normal or automatic attacks have a chance to restore some of your prayer points. Abilities do not activate the set effect.
The effect saps opponents' prayer points, while boosting your own. If the effect activates in combat with an NPC, the player's prayer is restored despite NPCs not having any to drain (this set effect can NOT be used to deactivate NPC prayers such as those of Sigmund, the Kalphite Queen, or Elite Black Knights). The effect is seemingly random and drains the prayer of an opponent by 1/3 of the damage hit and boosts your prayer by 1/5. It also appears that the prayer drain lasts even out of combat as the opponent loses 1 prayer point every 30 – 50 seconds until they run out.
Barrows equipment degrades as it is used. Equipment received from the Barrows minigame is fully repaired and can be used for 100,000 charges of combat until it degrades completely and requires repair before it can be used again; it does not suffer in performance as it degrades from fully repaired to fully degraded. The remaining charges of Barrows equipment can be checked by right-clicking it and selecting 'check-charge'. Additionally, Barrows equipment may only be traded if fully repaired or fully degraded. Items lose 20% charge if reclaimed from a gravestone after dying.
There are two ways to repair Barrows armour. Players can talk to any of the NPCs listed below and they will repair the items for a price, or repair the pieces themselves using an armour stand in any player-owned house for a reduced cost based on their Smithing level. The equipment can be repaired at any stage, and the cost will be adjusted according to how much it has degraded. The repair costs below are as if the equipment has fully degraded.
The following NPCs can repair the armour:
|Costs to repair
||POH armour stand
|Level 1 Smithing
||Level 99 Smithing
|The price is exactly 50% when operating a Smithing cape.
