Necrite ore is an ore that can be obtained through mining necrite rocks, requiring level 70 Mining, in various places around RuneScape.

Necrite is required to craft necronium bars along with phasmatite. As players increase their Mining level and use higher tier pickaxes, they are able to mine necrite at quicker rates.

Necrite, like other mining resources, can be stored in an ore box. 100 necrite can be stored in a necronium ore box or higher. This capacity is increased by 20 at level 72 Mining, a further 20 with the completion of the Everything Is Oresome achievement, and a further 10 with the completion of the Everything Is Still Oresome achievement.

Development history

Before the DailyScape Overhaul on 16 March 2026, 25 necrite ores could be crafted into a divine necrite rock, requiring level 70 Divination.

Update history

• update 16 March 2026 (Update):
  • The ability to create divine locations was removed.

• hotfix 27 August 2024 (Update):
  • Fixed an issue that blocked players from creating Banite ore using Divination.

• update 4 May 2021 (Update):
  • New transmutations added to game with Divination skill updates.
    • Necrite ore can now be transmuted from lustrous energy and Orichalcite ore.
    • Necrite ore can also be transmuted into Bane ore, using radiant energy.

• patch 7 January 2019 (Update):
  • Added new tiers of ore to mine. At 60, orichalcite and drakolith. At 70, necrite and phasmatite. At 80, bane ore (existing bane ore counts). At 90, light animica and dark animica.

  • Added to game.
