The lump of stone is an item obtained in Daemonheim. The stone is part of the statue bridge puzzle during Dungeoneering in which you must repair a giant statue by using the stone on it. It can be mined from the mining rock in the puzzle room. The giant statue initially requires a Construction level to fix, although fixing gives Mining experience.
