A ring of retribution (o) is a ring of retribution that has been overcharged to provide it with more degradation charges. By using a ring of retribution on another ring of retribution, the charges of the rings will combine. This can be done until the ring reaches a maximum overcharge of 1,000,000 life points that it can reflect and lasts for 6,666,667 life points worth of damage taken. The overcharged ring degrades to dust when all charges are used up, but using more rings of retribution on it at any time will add to its remaining charges. Against reflect immune monsters, charges will continue to be lost, with no damage reflected. Only one overcharged ring of retribution can be owned at a time. If an overcharged ring of retribution is destroyed, using the base ring on another will re-create it with the original number of charges intact.
A total of 100 rings are required to create a fully charged overcharged ring.
Other than the increased charges, the overcharged ring is identical to the base ring, and continues to provide the same effects as before:
Reflects 15% of damage taken back to the target. The damage reflected by the ring will continue to reflect the usual amount of damage before shattering, even if the damage reflected would exceed the remaining charges.
Provides a multiplicative 12.5% damage bonus to reflect damage from most sources, including the ring itself. Some examples of reflect sources include, but are not limited to: the Reflect ability, armour spikes, and a deathtouch bracelet. Does not affect damage reflected by Vengeance.
The multiplicative 12.5% damage bonus to reflect damage does not consume additional charges from the ring.
