This is a complete list of spells in the game, including magic from the Standard, Ancient, Lunar, and Dungeoneering spellbooks. The magic interface can be reached using the button on the top-right of the player interface. The maximum damages listed next to combat spells are the basic maximum hits; spell damage increases with the player's Magic level and Magic bonus.

The maximum damage is tied to the lower level of either the player's weapon or spell. For instance, a player using a staff of light (level 75) to cast Fire Surge (level 95) will only have a base maximum damage of 720, same as the base maximum damage of Fire Wave (level 75), not including the caster's magic level and magic bonus. Spells themselves have scaling damage; the damage listed below is the minimum, at the level they are unlocked. Spells' base maximum damage scale per level until a certain level that depends on the spell in question.

  • patch 9 December 2019 (Update):
    • Using spells from the spells book will no longer lock the interface from being used on mobile.
    • Fixed an issue where some spells and abilities would not activate from the mobile action bar.
    • Typo has been fixed, runied now spells ruined.
  • patch 22 July 2019 (Update):
    • Using various spells from specific tabs of the magic window will no longer cause the main magic window to re-open.
  • patch 9 May 2016 (Update):
    • Improved the following Seren spells and prayers:
      • Fortitude: Now grants +15% defence, +3% damage reduction, 10LP + 10LP per constitution level, +10% accuracy when using defensive abilities.
      • Intercept: Duration has been increased from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.
      • Prisms: Re-casting prism spells will restore half of the equivalent prism duration within range.
    • Single-target ancient spells will now activate only on the main target if used with AoE abilities.
    • Multi-target ancient spells will now only consume runes for one cast if activated when using AoE abilities.
  • ninja 8 June 2015 (Update):
    • Spells no longer provide base casting XP when used in PvP situations with PvP XP blocking enabled. This includes binds, buffs, de-buffs and some Lunar spells.
  • patch 11 June 2013 (Update):
    • Magic spells now check the base Magic level rather than any boosted levels
  • patch 19 December 2012 (Update):
    • A "targeted" typo has been fixed on several spell tooltips.
  • patch 19 July 2010 (Update):
    • All of the spells that were recently changed have now been adjusted throughout the rest of the game.
  • patch 29 January 2001:[1]
    • Magic spells no longer depend on your ranged combat skill.
    • Spells were made stronger, but they were still too weak, so they were made TWICE as effective against monsters!

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Prior to the Evolution of Combat, there existed items that could increase maximum hits in a similar way to Magic bonus; these are listed here.
