Tumeken's remnant is a mine just north of the Smoke Dungeon entrance which can be found west of southern Pollnivneach. Unless the player has completed Crocodile Tears, it is highly recommended to bring protection against desert heat. They should avoid wearing anything Saradominist or Zamorakian as they cause the Bandit in the mine to be aggressive.
The mining site has its name because it is meant to be the location where the desert god Tumeken sacrificed himself at the end of the Kharidian-Zarosian War. The lingering remnants of his energy in the area crystallised into the light animica rocks.[1]

- patch 12 August 2024 (Update):
- Light animica rocks at the core Mining site in the Kharidian Desert are now sandy brown rather than dark grey.
- ninja 22 July 2019 (Update):
- Snakes at the drakolith mine south of Tai Bwo Wannai, and those at the light animica mine near Pollnivneach have migrated, and should no longer be a bother to players with a low combat level.

Mod Stu: "I had a lengthy chat with @JagexRowley and Tumeken's explosion site (most likely ground zero centre of desert) actually looks to be ideal (intends for pantheon to have been created prior to Tumeken's death as a failsafe, so plenty of energy to crystallise into light animica)."
