The Desert Quarry is a mine south of the Bandit Camp. It is the only source of regular granite and one of two sources of sandstone rocks. When mined, granite rocks give either give a 500g, 2 kg, or 5 kg piece. Sandstone gives 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg pieces at random. After completion of the elite desert tasks, Aligra Nite and his camel Mostafa the Camel will purchase granite of all sizes from the player, at 20% of their Grand Exchange prices. This is a quick way to clear an inventory if power-mining granite for experience.

Desert heat can affect players in the quarry. This can be combated by bringing either waterskins or an enchanted water tiara. After Crocodile Tears, the effect of desert heat is removed. Alternatively, using a regen bracelet and desert robes will slow the player's health loss. Enakhra's Lament quest allows access to the fountain featured during the quest, which can be used to refill waterskins. It is recommended to bring at least three waterskins if the player does not have access to any other method of combating desert heat. When using waterskins, players will need to either have to drop their mined ores, have their Camulet, or have some other teleport with which to bank.
