The Inverted hooded Prayer cape is a hooded prayer cape using the colour of the trimmed hooded prayer cape as its main colour. It has the same bonuses as the non-inverted version.

Players can speak with Hans during an anniversary event starting with the 25th Anniversary celebrations to choose a skill to focus on. Players need to have level 99 Prayer to do so. Then players can gather 990 inverted skillcape shards while focussed on Prayer and then exchange those shards with Hans to get an inverted skillcape token. Players need to exchange the token with the skill master for Prayer, Brother Jered, to unlock the ability to buy this cape from the skill master as well as Elen Anterth at the Max Guild. Players cannot exchange these tokens with Elen.

It, along with the regular prayer skillcape, could be unlocked by accounts in the Fresh Start Worlds game mode that reached level 99 Prayer. The cape can also still be unlocked by any account in the main game by consuming an Inverted Prayer skillcape token, though the inverted cape can only be equipped if the player also has level 99 Prayer. Previously players could become eligible to buy the inverted skillcape, if the appearance token was used before achieving level 99 in the skill.

The Inverted hooded Prayer cape's perk provides the effect of having two lit incense burners without having to light them, when offering bones on an altar in a player-owned house and also acts like a first age cape if the player owns one.

Up to three perks of the capes of accomplishment can be added to the max cape, the completionist cape, the trimmed completionist cape, and their master versions. Up to two perks of the capes of accomplishment of a specific skill type can be added to the respective Expert cape of Accomplishment. This can be done by using a Cape of Accomplishment with the desired perk on one of the capes. The cape of accomplishment is then lost in the process. To make space for other perks, it is possible to later remove the added perks, but with no reimbursement. All of the added perks are shared among max cape, completionist cape, trimmed completionist cape, and their master versions, thus it is not possible to have different configurations of perks on the different capes.
