Brother Brace the Prayer instructor is a Saradominist monk and the eighth tutor encountered on Tutorial Island. He is found in the island's chapel and will teach players about prayers, as well as the Friends List and the Ignore list. He also encourages players to be courteous towards one another, reminding them that other players are real people with real feelings.

When Tutorial Island sank, he disappeared. He returned during Beneath Cursed Tides when it was revealed that all inhabitants of the island were cursed and morphed into sea creatures. During the quest the player has to do his task and the tasks of other instructors to break their curse. In order to break Brother Brace's curse, the player must use his friend list to find his fish friends, so they can find his lost prayer book.

Brother Brace is named after Simon Brace, a former Jagex Moderator also known to players as "modsimon".^[1]
