Blue spirit moths can be found in hollow trees in the Highweald Forest in Havenhythe. They may be flushed out and captured using a butterfly net, magic butterfly net, or Tellervo's net, awarding blue charms. They require level 64 Hunter to catch and reward 175 Hunter experience.

With level 85 Hunter and level 80 Agility, the player unlocks the ability to catch spirit moths barehanded. Catching them barehanded significantly reduces the amount of charms received, but instead gives 355 Agility experience per successful catch. Tellervo's lantern can be used while barehand catching.
