A guard room key can be taken from the sleeping brutes while exploring Daemonheim. If the brutes wake up you must kill them and receive the key as a drop. This key is used to open the doors to go further through the dungeon. There will be four keys in each room, but only one will work for each door. However, there might be multiple doors in the room, needing multiple keys to open the doors.
When acquiring the keys, it is a good idea to turn sprint off when walking over and around the floor, as the noise can cause the other guards to wake up and a four on one fight scenario could occur.
