Bloodweed seeds are items that can only be planted in the Wilderness herb patch in order to grow grimy bloodweed. This herb patch is located near the Wilderness destination of canoes, north of the Wilderness Crater. This requires level 57 Farming, giving 72 Farming experience for planting the seed and 81.4 Farming experience per herb harvested.
There is no nearby gardener at the patch to watch over growing bloodweed, but after completing the Wilderness hard achievements, the Wilderness herb patch will no longer become diseased.
Bloodweed seeds can be obtained from the Bandit Duty Free shop in the Bandit Camp, sacks of wild rewards, and via the Wilderness shared loot table, which can be accessed via opening the muddy chest, pickpocketing Rogue Enforcers and Rogue Captains, and killing revenants or monsters located in the Wilderness as part of a Slayer assignment. The seeds in Bandit Duty Free shop restock at 00:00 game time.
When planting the bloodweed seed, it is recommended to use supercompost, ultracompost, or the Fertile Soil spell in order to maximise the potential yield and, if the Wilderness hard achievements have not been completed, reduce the chances of the seed getting diseased.

Average harvest yield
[edit | edit source]Bloodweed has a minimum of 3 harvest lives, increasing with tier of compost used and simultaneous seeds planted using plant power. The crop farmer outfit and master farmer outfit each provide a small chance to preserve a harvest life that would otherwise be lost.
