A watermelon seed is used for the Farming skill, and it requires level 47 to plant and grow. Players must plant 3 watermelon seeds per allotment. A nearby gardener will watch over your growing watermelons at the cost of 10 curry leaves - either noted or un-noted is fine.
Nasturtiums or white lilies growing in a nearby flower patch protects watermelons from disease. Anywhere between 3-69 watermelons can be harvested per allotment. However, more can be harvested with any tier of Greenfingers aura.
Watermelon seeds are dropped by ogres, moss giants, waterfiends, and other monsters listed below. They may also be obtained by pickpocketing Master Farmers, by stealing them from Olivia's seed stall in Draynor Village, as a possible reward from Temple Trekking minigame, by looting certain implings, by being foraged by a fruit bat familiar, as a possible reward from a Columbarium key, and from a bird nest received from Wyson the Gardener.
It can be bought for 680 points in Vinesweeper.
