Captain Lawgof is an elderly Dwarven Black Guard captain in charge of the Coal truck mining site west of Seers' Village. However, goblins have been raiding from the south, breaching the perimeter and killing his men. In desperation, he recruits a passing adventurer to help make repairs, check up on a post that isn't reporting in, rescue a kidnapped dwarf, repair the cannon and fetch a mould in order to make cannonballs. Despite his frustration about the goblin attacks, he yells orders at his men instead of helping them.

Lawgof answers to Supreme Commander Bisi, who leads the Black Guard from Keldagrim. His status as captain likely puts him right below the commanders who typically oversee larger settlements in the Dwarven Realm.

Update history

[edit | edit source]
This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included – see here for how to help out!
  • update 2 October 2013 (Update):
    • To go along with Birthright of the Dwarves, every dwarf in the game is now up to date with stunning new graphics. The graphics team have really outdone themselves, giving every dwarf in Gielinor a character all their own, as well as the tough, stocky frames they deserve.
  • update 19 January 2010 (Update):
    • The various dwarves of RuneScape have had a visit from the Makeover Mage, who has given their chatheads a new look.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • His name is a pun on the words "log off".
  • He used to yell ridiculous orders at the dwarves, such as "Don't just do something, stand there!', which is a Spoonerism of the phrase "Don't just stand there, do something!". However this was corrected at an unknown date before 11 November 2011; he now yells the corrected "Don't just stand there, do something!".
  • Lawgof was formerly referred to as "Commander Lawgof" but this changed at an unknown point in time.
