Dagroda was a pontifex[1] of Senntisten towards the end of the God Wars. His ambitions however drove him to establish himself as priest-king, also refering to Azzanadra as 'The Empty Priest' alluding to Zaros' title.[2] Dagroda's ambitions appeared to only be fruitful because Sliske, undetected but intentionally, assisted him by finding the right allies and ridding him of potential rivals. All this to serve Sliske's own agenda, since he believed, he could manipulate Dagroda.[3]

When Wahisietel failed to save the city of Senntisten from Saradominist and Zamorakian armies after Azzanadra's imprisonment, Dagroda ordered that the city be evacuated.[4] It is unknown whether Dagroda too fled to another Zarosian city or remained in Senntisten.

"He sees the hole left by Azzanadra, who flits between brief visits to the capital to keep the masses calm and then back out to the front lines as part of the Empire's war effort. Indeed, Azzanadra is starting to resemble Zaros at his worse (before the fall, of course). Dagroda has started referring to him as The Empty Priest in jest."

I intend to feed him some contacts. If I am a good judge of character (and I am), then he will no doubt take the bait and make some sort of deal to move his rival off the board. Once he seizes power, I will have little trouble in coercing him into doing my bidding."

With a heavy heart, I therefore decree that we are to abandon the Holy City and retreat to the strongholds of Carrallangar[sic], Dareeyak and Ghorrock."
