Assault is a channelled enhanced melee ability. It requires level 3 Attack to use. When activated, the player will proceed to hit their target four times, hitting once every 1.2 second with each hit dealing 130-150% ability damage for a total of 520-600% ability damage, or an average of 560% ability damage.
Assault can be empowered if the player has 4 or more
Bloodlust stacks when it is cast. This will consume 4
Bloodlust stacks and increase the damage to 170-190% ability damage per hit for a total of 680-760% ability damage, or an average of 720% ability damage.
Like all melee channelled abilities, Assault can be channelled while moving as long as the player stays within attack range of their target.
Hit timings
[edit | edit source]Assault hits 1 tick after it was cast, and deals subsequent hits every 2 ticks (1.2 seconds) afterwards:

Comparison with Flurry
[edit | edit source]Without bloodlust, Flurry (or Greater Flurry) will always deal less damage than Assault. When bloodlusted, this can change.
Flurry will deal more damage than Assault if the target is below 61% life points, but Flurry will gain more damage so long as the target is below 70% life points. Therefore if intending to use both abilities, then the bloodlust should be spent on Flurry when the target is below 70% life points. However if there is only enough time or adrenaline for one ability, then it should only be flurry if the target is below 61% life points. This does not take into account the effect of Greater Flurry on extending the duration of Berserk.
