Sever was a basic Attack ability available before the Combat Style Modernisation update in 2026. It required level 45 Attack to use. It dealt 110-130% ability damage.

Sever was one of the highest-hitting basic abilities available for melee. It applied the Severed debuff which reduced damage dealt by the target by 10% for 4.8 seconds.

If used whenever available, damage dealt by the target was on average reduced by approximately 8.9%.

Players without level 45 Attack had access to Lesser Sever instead, which automatically upgraded to Sever upon reaching level 45 Attack.
