During Defender of Varrock, Simon is questioned on zombie sightings, and will point the player towards the Chaos Temple Dungeon after angrily deriding the zombies for not being team players as they refused to purchase his wares.[1]
After the Wilderness Improvements & Task Set update, Simon may now also be used as a bank.

During the event Zodiyak Track, you could give him 28 astral runes as a part of the track challenge called "All the lights in the sky are stars". This is a reference to a 2007 anime titled Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, both an episode title ("All The Lights In The Sky Are Stars") and the main protagonist (Simon).
