During In Aid of the Myreque, Cornelius explains to the player what needs repairing in the bank to make it usable as such. The bank requires 5 planks, 1 swamp paste, and 20 nails to be repaired.
After fixing the bank booth and patching up the wall, the player would offer Cornelius the banker job to operate the bank. After this, the bank remains unlocked for the rest of the game.
