Jonny the beard is a man who hangs out in the Blue Moon Inn in Southern Varrock. He is a Black Arm Gang member who must be killed (and his Intel report picked up and given to Straven, the Phoenix Gang leader) if a player wishes to join the Phoenix Gang during the Shield of Arrav quest.

In Dimension of Disaster: Shield of Arrav, his New Varrock counterpart has joined the Phoenix Gang and stolen Katrine's Black arm. He must be fought in order to get it back.
