The black arm is Katrine's arm that has been stolen by Jonny the Beard in the events of Dimension of Disaster: Shield of Arrav. You need to fight Jonny at the Blue Moon Inn to get the arm back, and prove your loyalty to Katrine by giving the arm to her.
