Clear parts are common materials used in the Invention skill. Like all common materials, five are used in one of the five slots of a gizmo shell.

Clear parts can be obtained from disassembling unpowered orbs, elemental orbs (such as earth orbs and fire orbs), or cut gems (such as rubies and emeralds). Players with at least level 60 Invention can use an auto disassembler invention machine to passively disassemble large quantities of these items for clear parts. This will also yield numerous other components as byproducts, including delicate parts and smooth parts. Orbs will additionally yield enhancing components, while gems will yield precious components, light components, and faceted components.

Another way to obtain clear parts is to make empty light orbs from molten glass. Molten glass can be obtained cheaply by operating a Desert amulet of tier 2 or higher with soda ash in your inventory.
