Light pedestals are located in the section of Senntisten west of the Azzanadra's Cathedral. During City of Senntisten quest light globes can be placed on them to create areas of safety that prevent players from taking damage from the shadows, as well as removing stacking debuffs that increase damage taken from shadows.
Once the quest is completed all of the light pedestals (regardless of their status during the quest) become lit and are no longer interactive. You will no longer take damage within the western part of the city.
