The Bubbles pet is an item that can be found while training Fishing.
It can be inspected to unlock the Bubbles pet, completing the Fishing - Bubbles achievement as well as triggering the message Congratulations! You have unlocked the pet: Bubbles and destroying the item in the process.

When a player obtains the pet, they receive one of the following messages:

• While skilling, you find Bubbles, the Fishing pet. It has been added to your inventory.
• While skilling, you find Bubbles, the Fishing pet. However, you do not have enough inventory space, so it has been sent to your bank.

When a player obtains the pet and does not have space in their inventory and their bank is full as well, it is attempted to be given again once the player has space in their inventory.

Alongside the personal message, obtaining this item also triggers two global Broadcasts:

• World broadcast: News: [Player] has received Bubbles, the Fishing pet drop at [Amount] XP!
• Clan Chat broadcast: [ClanName] News: [Player] has received Bubbles, the Fishing pet drop at [Amount] XP!

How to obtain

The following actions will give a chance to drop this pet:

• Fishing and Barbarian Fishing around Gielinor, this includes fishing:
  • in the Arc
  • at the Prifddinas Waterfall
  • at the Deep Sea Fishing hub (including swarm fishing)
  • in Menaphos
  • on Miscellania while fishing lobsters for approval
• doing the Rock Pools activity at The Beach
• feeding fish at the fishery in the Dream of Iaia

The following actions will not give a chance to drop this pet:

• using a Divine fishing bubble
• playing a Minigame that rewards experience in this skill

Drop chance

The chance is not affected by experience boosters.

In a purely mathematical format, the chance $f$ of receiving a pet on any particular action is

$f=\frac{T\times S}{50,000,000}$

Where:

• $T$ is the amount of game ticks taken per action
• $S$ is the virtual skill level. At 200 million experience, a flat bonus of 50 is applied to this value.
