The patch bomb is an item obtained from Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza for 30 Renown, from Stanley Limelight for 5 thaler, or from Sydekix's Shop of Balance for 2,000 Crux Eqal favour.

This item allows players to clear any Farming patch instantly, and receive the produce from that patch as bank notes, destroying the bomb in the process.

Using a patch bomb with any effect that grants bonus resources does apply those effects. For example, using a patch bomb on a herb patch while under the effects of the greenfingers aura, juju farming potion, or the master farmer outfit will apply all bonuses they would normally grant, as well as instantly harvesting the patch. Patch bombs can harvest up to 75 'base' products per patch. This excludes extra products gathered from buffs and modifiers (greenfingers auras, master farmer outfit, etc.).

A player uses the patch bomb.

Trivia

• If you use the patch bomb on a tree patch to clear a patch that has a tree while also having a daily Woodcutting challenge, it will not count towards your Daily Challenge, but you will still get all the logs and roots from the tree.
• You still get a random amount of logs for each tree patch you use it on just like if you cut down a tree manually.
• Although F2P players can still buy the item, patch bombs cannot be used in F2P worlds.
