A panning point is a location found at the Archaeology Campus where players can pan for nuggets, uncut opal, uncut jade, oysters or coins. It also plays a role in The Dig Site quest, where the panning point is used to find a special cup in the river for one of the students.

Panning at these points will fill the panning tray with mud, which must then be inspected to obtain the item rewards.
