An Ibis scroll (Fish Rain) is a summoning scroll used to cast the special move of the ibis familiar, requiring 56 Summoning. Casting the special move gives 1.1 experience and costs 12 special move points and one scroll.

The special move creates up to 8 random fish (raw shrimp, bass, cod, and mackerel).

A ibis pouch can be converted into 10 summoning scrolls on a Summoning obelisk, giving 1.1 experience. If the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd district in Prifddinas, using the obelisk in Amlodd district will give 12 scrolls per pouch.

Ibis scrolls (Fish Rain) can be given to Bogrog or Lord Amlodd in return for 6 spirit shards for each scroll, requiring level 62 Summoning. If the hard Tirannwn achievements are completed, Lord Amlodd will give 6.6 shards for each scroll, rounding down.

A maximum of 500 scrolls can be used on the familiar to both store the scrolls and allow the familiar to automatically cast the special move. Scrolls can be freely taken or stored on the summoning familiar interface. Players can set the autofire rate of stored familiar scrolls by entering the waiting time (in seconds) for the familiar.

Fish rain

The following drop rates are provided by Jagex, unless otherwise specified.

Fish rain is the special move of the Ibis. When activated, it produces fish (raw shrimp, bass, cod, and mackerel). It does not work when cast in a player-owned house.

When the special move is successfully cast, this procedure is followed:

• For each of the 8 tiles surrounding the ibis, if the tile can be walked-to and is not otherwise blocked by scenery:
• Roll a 19% chance (random(100)<19, where random(x) is an integer from 0 to x (both inclusive)).
• If success, generate a fish:
  • The first fish generated will always be a bass
  • Following generated fish use stat_random checks against your Fishing level, returning the first success:
    • first, low=15, high=195 for mackerel (5.9% at level 1, 41.0% at level 50, 76.2% at level 99)
    • next, low=30, high=30 for mackerel (again) (11.7% for all levels)
    • if your level is at least 23, low=12, high=165 for cod (17.2% at level 22, 34.4% at level 50, 64.5% at level 99)
    • if nothing obtained from the 3 checks above, get a shrimp (83.1% at level 1, 34.2% at level 50, 7.5% at level 99)

Overall, if multiplied out or simulated, the average number of each fish obtained per 100 casts (assuming in an area where 8 tiles are available) is plotted below.
