Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike) detail.png

The Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike) enables the use of the Mantis strike special move for the Praying mantis familiar. Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike)s are made by using Praying mantis pouches on a Summoning obelisk, providing 0.1 Summoning experience and 10 Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike)s. If the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd District in Prifddinas, using the Prifddinas obelisk will give 12 scrolls per pouch.

A maximum of 500 scrolls can be used on a praying mantis familiar to both store the scrolls and allow the familiar to automatically use the scrolls. They can be obtained again by clicking "Take BoB" in the summoning interface. Enchanted headgear used to have similar effect although this has since been removed from the game.

Mantis strike is the special move of the Praying mantis, activated by a Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike). When activated against an opponent, it uses a magic based attack (max hit 979) which always drains the opponent's prayer and binds them for 1.8 seconds (3 ticks) if it deals any damage. Each use of a Praying Mantis scroll (Mantis Strike) requires 6 special move points.
