Hallak is one of the Spirits of the Elid and is found in the River Elid cave, inside the cave north-west of Uzer. A rope, ancestral key and the robes of elidinis are required to enter. During Crocodile Tears only a rope and the dowsing rod are required to enter.

History

[edit | edit source]

According to the trio, they have been on Gielinor as far back as the First Age. The three water spirits share a united bond with one another, in that they all share the same brain but are separate entities, which explains why they finish each other's sentences. But they are not entirely united, because Tirrie and Nirrie will point out that Hallak leaves the toilet seat up, to which he exclaims "It's supposed to be like that!"

They are not only responsible for killing the Saradominist monk who converted many of the citizens of Nardah from the Menaphite Pantheon, but were also responsible for drying up the water fountain prior to the events in the Spirits of the Elid quest. When asked why they dried up the fountain, they provide insight into their reasoning and give you the option of the telling you the history of the alliance between Saradomin and Elidinis.

Hallak also features in Crocodile Tears during which he and the other spirits enchant the dowsing rod.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • It appears that when angered, they stop finishing each other's sentences. Players have an option to point this out to them, of which they explain that it happens when they get emotional.
  • They reveal that the white, grey and black golems were gifts from Saradominist mages as a diplomatic gesture, which further supports the alliance between Elidinis and Saradomin.
  • Hallak is one of the few NPCs in RuneScape known to have used the toilet.
  • The argument between the spirits about whether the toilet seat should be left up reflects a real life difference of opinion among people. Generally, women prefer the seat left down so that they may sit on the toilet to use it, while many men prefer to leave it up so they can more easily use it as a urinal. This explains why Tirrie and Nirrie, who appear female, are annoyed that Hallak, who appears male, leaves the seat up.
    • However, it is unclear exactly why any of the spirits would use the toilet at all, being incorporeal.
