Beite is the child of Bob and Neite that was planned to appear in a cutscene in the A Tail of Two Cats quest. Due to the quest developer resigning before the quest could be completed, the cutscene was never implemented, leaving Beite and the other NPCs that were intended to appear in the cutscene unused within the game cache[1]. Beite had a unique idle animation that depicted them periodically pawing at the air and rolling on their back.

Despite being unused, Beite received a graphical update alongside the rest of their species on 7 May 2008, now using the same idle animation as other cats. Beite was removed from the game entirely in September 2010, and shortly thereafter replaced by Dororan with the release of Gunnar's Ground on on 21 September 2010.

He resigned before the quest was completed, and the rest of us shepherded it through the end of testing and launch. It's a shame - he was a clever programmer."
