Scraps of scripture are received by breaking open a phylactery, which is an uncommon drop from The Magister. The phylactery can give either 5, 10, 15 or 25 scraps when opened (40%, 30%, 25%, and 5% chance respectively), with an average of 10 scraps obtained from each phylactery.

With 100 scraps and 92 Crafting, it creates the blessings in the following order:

The 3 blessings can then be combined with a khopesh of the Kharidian or an Off-hand khopesh of the Kharidian to create a khopesh of Tumeken or a khopesh of Elidinis respectively.

Cost analysis

[edit | edit source]

Even though the scraps are untradeable, they are worth 259,289.05 coins each if making a khopesh of Tumeken and 227,892.34 coins each if making a khopesh of Elidinis.

Given the drop rates of phylacteries and scraps, a player can expect each weapon to take approximately 540 kills to complete, or 510 if a tier 4 luck enhancer is equipped for every kill. This will result in an average upfront cost of 160,086,240 or 151,192,560 respectively if all Keys to the Crossing required for each kill are purchased off the GE.

Update history

[edit | edit source]
This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included – see here for how to help out!
  • patch 2 October 2017 (Update):
    • Players with two or four scraps of scripture will receive additional scraps next time they open a phylactery, rounding their total scraps to a figure that's divisible by 5.
  • patch 17 July 2017 (Update):
    • The phylactery drop rate from the Magister has been made slightly lower, but the individual scripture drop rates have been adjusted to give a minimum of 5 and a larger average.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Originally, players could decide how the blessings could be made. This was changed with an update on 2 October 2017 to ensure that accidental blessings would not be created, and now go in order.
