The Shield of Arrav is obtained during Dimension of Disaster: Shield of Arrav. It can be given back to Orlando Smith to complete the subquest. Later on during Dimension of Disaster: Curse of Arrav, Arrav requires the shield to help defeat Zemouregal. To retrieve it, you need to distract Orlando by activating Loarnab's head with the button, allowing you to pickpocket the display cabinet key from Haig Halen and opening the cabinet.
